黑料专区鈥檚 James Sulikowski offers expertise on skates with 鈥楶ortsmouth Herald鈥

James Sulikowski

James Sulikowski, Ph.D., professor in the 黑料专区 Department of Marine Sciences, shared his expertise about skates after dozens were discovered dead on the banks of the Piscataqua River in New Hampshire.

Sulikowski told the Portsmouth Herald and Seacoast Online that the species are commonly caught in the area and that the dead fish were likely by-catch. 鈥淚t鈥檚 tough to speculate as to how they ended up there, but as there are no other fish around and nothing toxic in the water鈥 it was probably by-catch from a fishing trip,鈥 Sulikowski said.
